Jump Park in Sherwood Park

Thanks to the approx. 100 people that came to the council meeting to support our bid for a jump park here in Sherwood Park.  Our presentation was very well received by council and I am confident that with a little hard work, planning and continued community support we will have a dirt jump park sometime next year.  If you would like to be on the email list for continued news and development register at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. MAKE  A  WISH  RIDE

What a huge success, the Second Annual Make A Wish ride raised over $ 9000.00!  Over 50 riders joined together Sept.12 and rode a 25km loop with Pro Triathlete Kristina Schultz to help raise money for the Northern Alberta Make a Wish Foundation.  To date our events have raised over 12K and we are focused on making that 16K to grant two wishes.  Thanks to all who volunteered, all the riders and a big thank you to some of the key sponsors, Salisbury Greenhouses, 1664 Distribution, Gary Fisher Bikes, Acron Roofing, Fraser Roofing, Fraser Roofing, and the members of the Edmonton Fire Department.

MSG Demo Day May 9th (more pics 05/26)

Wow what a day!!!  Hope you got a chance to come down to the store and meet the Legend that is Gary Fisher.  Gary was here signing everything from bikes to butts all day and was busy Twittering all the days action.  Riders blew the crowd away with a few 360's off our roof and an awsome Trials demo.  The Bear radio was here giving away tons of prizes, and between the BBQ and the Charity ride over $ 2600.00 was raised for the Make a Wish Foundation!!!  More Great pics here.

Recognize this mug? That's right, he used to be at another store, now Mark Chambers is cranking it up (no pun ten'd) with Mud, Sweat and Gears and we couldn't be happier.  If you need a new bike, service, or just some great conversation about cycling, come deal with the best in the industry.  Mark has been in the bike industry in Edmonton for over 25 years and judging by how many customers are coming in to see him, he has helped a lot of us.  Drop in and say hi, Mark would love to see you.

Dirt Jump Park
Hello everyone, I wanted to give you an update about the possiblility of a Dirt jump park in Sherwood Park.  I have been working closely with a few members of council the past few months and have started researching what is required for resources and management of such a project.  I am encouraged by the response of council and the willingness of community members such as Kris Kasawski, Darren Hantleman, and Dean Kakoschke.  I would like to make special not of the work Councillor Jason Gariepy has committed to this endeavour.  Without his encouragement and direction this project would have stalled.
I want to make it clear that this park is not approved yet or even close to development.  We are working hard to get this approved and constructed as quickly as possible.  However there is a process that must be followed and such a project will require appoval of public land.  There is no gaurantee it will happen in 2010 but we are trying our best.
I will do my best to keep you updated and watch our website for further updates.

Staff Ski Trip

Ouch, we just got back from our annual staff ski trip.  This year saw 13 lucky souls brave a night of too much partying followed by an early start on the mountain.  Needless to say fun was had by all, a little too much by some, and one was left footing the bill.
Enjoy the pics, we enjoyed making them.
